The Origin of ‘Howziz’?

I’ve heard this phrase used – it’s basically interchangable with ‘Wassup?!’

While a Google search brings loads o’ results, I haven’t yet discovered the origin of ‘Howziz’.  Many thanks to anyone who can enlighten me, fo shizzle.

    This is my license plate. It refers to a phoetic spelling of ‘houses’. I am a REALTOR in the Valley and my website is http://www.howziz.com. It is not slang at all just a play on words/letters. Sorry to disappoint.
